The Curt Ball and Safety Chain Loops Kit, part 60609 was designed for 2011 and newer Ford Super Duty Trucks with the factory rail kit, but will also fit the GM and Chevrolet factory gooseneck.
The # C60692 kit is designed to fit Ford, GM, Chevrolet, and Nissan Titan XD trucks with the factory kit.
Per my contact at Curt there is no difference in the parts and both will work equally well for your F-350. view full answer...
That's a good question, and there are just a couple differences between the Curt Ball and Safety Chain Loop Kits # C58CR and # C60618, which are the capacities of the kit, and the height of the hitch ball.
- 38,000 lb Capacity, 1-5/8" Rise in Hitch Ball: Curt Ball and Safety Chain Loop Kit # C58CR
- 30,000 lb Capacity, 1/2" Rise in Hitch Ball: Curt Ball and Safety Chain Loop Kit # C60618
Otherwise, both are fits for any Ram 2500 or Ram 3500 with the OEM prep package, so either will work... view full answer...
The Buyers Products Adjustable Tri-Ball Hitch part # 3371802225 and the Curt Multi-Ball Adjustable Ball Mount part # D900 are both very similar. The main difference as you mentioned is that the Buyers Products Ball Mount has a longer shank which then allows for more rise/drop adjustments. The more rise/drop adjustments you have, the greater number of trailers you can tow level. In regards to the manufacturer, both Curt and Buyers Products are reputable brands so I would not let this alone... view full answer...
The only differences between the Demco eZ-Latch Couplers # DM37ZR and # DM14793-81 is that the former has integrated loop holes for installing safety chains and a about a 2" drop while the latter doesn't come with provisions for attaching the safety chains and has the coupler in-line with the trailer frame.
Aside from that everything else is the same. view full answer...
The most major difference between the B&W Companion # BWRVK3775 and the B&W Ball and Safety Chain Kit # BWGNXA2061 is that the # BWRVK3775 is designed for a 5th-wheel coupler while the # BWGNXA2061 is designed for a gooseneck coupler. The benefit of the Companion is that it has a sliding feature that is great for making sharp turns with your trailer as well as three different height settings.
With that being said, both of these accessories are compatible with your OEM pucks on your 2022... view full answer...
You will need to know what the diameter of the chains you have are and how much room you have in the link for a hook to be attached. It sounds like the 5/16 you mentioned is the diameter of the chain itself, and not the opening in the link.
The Clevis hook, part # 6495-401-04 has a 7/16-inch diameter pin that goes through the opening in a chain link and has a working load limit of 5,400 lbs.
The # 6495-301-04 hook also has a 7/16-inch pin, and has a working load limit of 3,900 lbs.... view full answer...
There are a few differences between the B&W Ball and Safety Chain Kit # BWGNXA2061 and the Curt Ball and Safety Chain Kit # C38CR for your 2022 GMC Sierra 3500 (8-foot bed with OEM prep). Apart from the 38k pound capacity of the Curt and the 30k pound weight capacity of the B&W, the B&W ball has an integrated handle that gives you a better grip when installing/removing the ball. Also, the Curt kit comes with hooks that attach to the ends of the safety chains while the B&W kit require you... view full answer...
I recommend getting the OEM pucks if you will be towing regularly. We have a few options for the hitch ball and chain loops that are most likely more cost efficient than the dealer. The OEM ball and loops are made by Curt who has a little competition in the aftermarket parts for that vehicle. Here are your options:
-Curt Ball and Safety Chain Loop Kit for GM/Chevy/Ford/Nissan Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch - 30K # C60692
-B&W Ball and Safety Chain Kit for Ford, GM, and Nissan Titan... view full answer...
The only difference between the Curt Class III Hitch # 13530 and the Draw-Tite # 75153 is that the Curt hitch has the safety chain loops welded to the bottom of the receiver, while the Draw-Tite model has the safety chain loops welded to the top.
Both models are very similar in appearance and would install in the same manner. The only difference is that the Curt # 13530 can be used with weight distribution, where it carries a 4000 lb GTW and 400 lb TW rating.
I have linked to the install... view full answer...
Both hitches are class 3 with 2x2 inch receiver openings and both can use weight distribution systems.
I recommend the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Matte Black Finish - Class III - 2" # e98869. A notable difference is the safety chain loops, on the etrailer hitch they are a horizontal welded loop under the receiver opening that will not take away from your ground clearance.
The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # 75282 has welded... view full answer...
Apart from having more money in your wallet by going with the Curt Ball and Safety Chain Loop Kit # C60692 over the factory items, there is not going to be any difference. The Curt kit was designed to work with the factory rails in your new Chevy 2500 and will be a perfect fit. I've added links to some video reviews on this product for you to take a look at as well. view full answer...
From a function point of view there isn't a huge difference between the two Curt gooseneck hitches # C60712 and # C619-648. You might notice that the EZR has a smaller plate that has larger u-bolts for safety chains and the Double Lock has smaller safety chain loops that aren't centered. view full answer...
Since both hitches are rated for higher than the capacity of your 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee the capacity really isn't as important of a factor. The smaller factors like the length of the receiver tube and how the safety chain loops sit would be the deciding factor between the two for me. I prefer the Draw-Tite's # DT42GR chain loops since they are a bit wider and slightly further from the receiver tube so you'll have more space to install your hitch bolt and safety chains. On the other hand... view full answer...
We make videos and take photos of the trailer hitch installations on vehicles as they are brought in and installed here. Unfortunately, we do not have any photos of this hitch installed on a 2012 Civic. I have attached a video from when we installed it on a 2013 Civic though.
I have attached a link to a best options video on a 2012 Civic you can check out. As stated in the video, the trailer hitches we offer that will fit the Civic are all very similar and would have very similar looks... view full answer...
I have no experience with the PullRite 4437 Gooseneck ball as we do not carry that product.
I can say that the B&W Ball and Safety Chain Kit # BWGNXA2061 has a nice snug fit as we have tested this product in our shop. I have linked a great video below that shows how the snug the gooseneck ball fits in the factory hitch. I also prefer the handle that B&W uses as you will not be grabbing onto a grease covered ball to remove and install in your truck. view full answer...
When it comes to choosing between the B&W Ball and Safety Chain Kit # BWGNXA2061 and Curt Ball and Safety Chain Loop Kit # C60692 I would go with the B&W. One of the main differences between the two is the handle that the B&W has which is what makes it great. This allows for a clean and easy way to carry, install, and remove the ball. The handle can also lock in the horizontal position to prevent accidental unlatching. It has a storage kit for when it is not in use, and everything from... view full answer...
The B&W Ball and Safety Chain Kit # BWGNXA2061 is going to be the kit I recommend. This kit includes a 2-5/16" hitch ball that is rated for 30,000lbs. The reason I prefer this kit is that it has the folding handle that is used to lock the ball in the factory in bed prep/puck system on your 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 3500. This will help keep your hands clean when it is time to remove the ball.
The Curt Ball and Safety Chain Loop Kit # C38CR is rated for 38,000lbs of trailer capacity. The... view full answer...
I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # DT55MR over the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C22UR for your 2022 Toyota Sienna. The Draw-Tite has larger chain hanger openings which will make it easier connecting the safety chains of any trailer you may tow. With the narrow openings on the Curt receiver you may need to get Quick Links # C82931 for some of the larger chain hooks.
The Curt receiver has a maximum tongue weight rating of 350lbs and maximum trailer weight rating... view full answer...
Easiest way to tell which gooseneck hitch you have is by looking at the safety cable loops. If they are about as wide as the gooseneck ball hole and are centered with the ball hole it's an EZr, if the safety chain loops are a smaller and offset then it's a double lock.
Take a look at the pictures of the EZR part # C611-624 and the # C607-604 and compare your safety chain setup to both of these. Let me know which yours matches and we can go from there.
The part # C16210 is for the Double... view full answer...
The Ram Kit # BWGNXA2062 fits in the larger 4 outer puck holes that the Ram factory in bed hitch uses. You can see the chain connections are larger with this kit than the Kit # BWGNXA2061 for Ford, GM and Nissan factory in bed hitch connections. view full answer...
